Through a few house moves with my family over the past few years, I have discovered a few things. First, I've pretty much mastered the art of efficient packing and unpacking. (But this still does not take away from how exhausting it is though!!) Second, we definitely had accumulated a lot of duplicate items over the years - some of which I wasn't quite ready to part ways with yet. So... This the first of a few posts, I hope, about ways to repurpose and reincorporate things we already have, when we're not quite ready to rehome them at the moment. Please note: This is not an excuse to be a hoarder!! I am not giving you permission to keep everything you've ever owned forever, in hopes of the "one day" when you can repurpose it. If it makes sense to give it away or sell it now, than just do it. Remember, having too much STUFF is not always a good thing! Anyway in the video, you'll see that I'm demonstrating ways of converting letter or mail dividers, into practical storage and displays for both the kitchen and closet. First, for help corralling those storage container lids in the kitchen... Next, to display plates or dinnerware for entertaining... :) Lastly, in the closet, as way to help see those small purses, wallets, and clutches a little better! So 'shopping your home" (like I did here) every once in a while, can be a excellent way of not only rediscovering new ways for new things, but also as a way of cutting down on unnecessary clutter in your home or storage, right? If this is your goal, read about more ideas here about how make minimizing and organizing a little less painless— especially if you’re like me right now and NEED to keep it as simple as possible! :)
